چکیده
504 THE JOURNAL OF PROSTHETIC DENTISTRY phase because new components must be purchased. This article describes a simple technique to limit the trapping of air bubbles in the cast-to abutments or prosthetic cylinders. This procedure reduces the risk of trapping air bubbles in the screw access holes of the abutment by directly injecting the investment into the cast-to abutment or prosthetic cylinders.

متن کاملImplant-supported titanium prostheses following augmentation procedures: a clinical report.
BACKGROUND This report describes a novel technique for fabricating retrievable implant-supported titanium (Ti) prostheses in patients requiring a comprehensive treatment plan involving the combined efforts of maxillofacial surgery and implant prosthodontics. METHODS Following bone graft reconstructive surgery and implant placement prosthetic treatment was initiated by inserting ITI-Octa abutm...
متن کاملInfluence of Sealing of the Screw Access Hole on the Fracture Resistance of Implant-Supported Restorations.
The purpose of this study was to assess the influence of sealing of the screw access hole (SAH) on the fracture resistance of metal-ceramic implant-supported restorations. UCLA abutments were used to make 30 implant-retained mandibular molar restorations and divide equally into three groups: Group SRS: screw-retained restorations with SAH sealed; Group SRNS: screw-retained restorations with SAH...
متن کاملMaintenance Requirements of Screw- Retained Implant Prosthesis versus Telescopic Overdenture: A Randomized Controlled Trial
Statement of problem: There is little information about the maintenance requirements of implant restorations. Purpose: To compare the prosthodontic maintenance requirements of screw-retained implant prosthesis versus that of telescopic overdentures after an observation period of 18 months. Materials and methods: 26 completely edentulous patients were enrolled in the study. Patients were divided...
متن کاملStress distribution pattern of screw-retained restorations with segmented vs. non-segmented abutments: A finite element analysis
Background. Screw-retained restorations are favored in some clinical situations such as limited inter-occlusal spaces. This study was designed to compare stresses developed in the peri-implant bone in two different types of screw-retained restorations (segmented vs. non-segmented abutment) using a finite element model. Methods. An implant, 4.1 mm in diameter and 10 mm in length, was placed in t...
